Law enforcement officers who advertise and hunt down major fugitives. When the Vantress needs assistance in taking down a criminal, the Acosadajurans place a reward on the criminal's head, motivating and raising awareness of the criminal's capture.
Ajiogoth Testament (N)
The Noxvitorian holy scriptures, consisting of Cassigostildo and Mira's love story, Viscount recount of Viviana's parricide on Cassigostildo and Mira, and Crimson Tessellation Prophecy of Cassigostildo sacrificing his ability to resurrect onto Mira's, who will be reincarnated into a pair of twins.
Amaterai Knights (N)
Petal royal guard knights for Emperor Mann's Sun-reverent tradition. They are deemed as holy soldiers close to Emperor Mann's rule.
AnimaFresco (V)
Casters reanimate life from Fresco paintings into three-dimensional beings; depending on the Fresco paintings, results will vary in their behaviors.
Aurelian Serum (N)
A miracle serum that keeps wealthy individuals on the verge of death alive. A series of metal pipes surgically embedded in the body ensures this Serum circulates through the host’s veins without fail. If compromised, the host will crumple and die, as the effect of the Serum fails to keep death at bay.
Aurora-Haven (N)
One of the nine havens Emperor Mann placed across Faloyori in Viviana's name, where most species are safely allowed to live with one another. It serves as a safe place for those afraid of Faloyori's Open-World, as most people would love a normal life. To get in, one must pay an expensive Tithe, sneak in, lottery system, and/or receive a recommendation from royalty.
Axel Street (N)
A popular social street on the Vivianite side of Aurora- Haven, where Yema resides.
Being (N)
A living entity or individual, often used in philosophical or metaphysical contexts.
Black Column (N)
A ledger of debts carved by an Oathmonger used to record total financial transactions of debits and credits for various accounts. It acts as a permanent, organized record for assets, liabilities, equity, revenue, and expenses.
Blastwind (V)
A spell where a blast of jagged wind pushes back its victims with its strong currents.
Bliss-code (N)
a spell encoded in runes to transmit a formal, authoritative summary of core religious beliefs, doctrines, and moral standards that guide a faithful community. With such a strong foundation of faith, it harms Varnelkin from religious institutions. It numbs its population into a state of security while burning the opposition.
Blisterlands (N)
a Landscape of acidic blisters resembling dead skin and pus. Infamous for causing blisters among travelers, most due to poisonous plants and rough terrain. One needs to properly prepare and have extra shoes and medical supplies to prevent infectious blisters.
Blisterlands Trail (N)
A well-known trail set by the Blisterlands inhabitants, known as a ‘safe bet’ amongst travelers to traverse the harsh terrain. Rock spirits assist those who traverse this trail for a price, or free if they’re in a good mood.
Board of the Lost (N)
A missing person bulletin board, used by law enforcement, family members, or organizations to display information about an individual whose whereabouts are unknown. These boards serve as a public appeal for information to aid in the swift identification and safe recovery of each missing person.
Borimonos (N)
Monkeys characterized by their pale blue faces, flattened nose with forward-facing nostrils, and thick, golden-brown hair.
Brewthane (N)
Focuses on brewing, water temperature, and time to serve high-quality specialty teas.
Brinambo (N)
A large cinnamon-colored, nomadic Flying Wyvern, renowned for invading combat zones and dropping explosives, mine-like scales. Notoriously aggressive wyvern known for its superheated state of throwing explosive scales at its prey. Needs to be expertly prepared by trained chefs to prevent any scales from exploding on hungry customers, renowned for its spicy taste.
Brood Chalice (N)
A chalice meant to hold fresh Eidolon Mancae parasites, typically held in ritualistic areas, as these are for formal turnings.
Byron the First Healer (N)
Byron was an ancient healer who cared for Viviana and her Nine gemed-angels during her heresy against the Noxvitorian religion during the Braided Heart Era.
The Braided Heart Era (N)
The last era where Cassigostildo and Mira ruled the realm. It got its name from Cas and Mira being confused about their stance on Viviana wanting to defy their entire existence. This was considered unprecedented prosperity, and the chorus’s rise in use outside of Maledicaries. Dancing and music became more free-range across the lands, as social advancements from elves, humans, Rakkans, and Kokkebee started to storm the lands.
Caelumbirch tree (N)
a thick brown Druid tree of life. Based on restoration, polymorph, and the druids’ connection with nature. This tree is at the center of their faith, almost on the same level as their god Thalanweir. Without the Caelumbirch tree, they lose a majority of their connection to nature. i.e., polymorph and healing capabilities. Making resources scarce for their well-being.
Cantara
a sacred seal used to cast faith-based incantations. It is also the testament to Vivianism when not used as a weapon. Inside is the guide to live a peaceful and cooperative signifying Viviana’s counsel for humanity to become the dominant species of the land to rule with equality.
Carnium Engine (N)
A monstrous skeleton redesigned by dwarven mechanics alongside maledicaries to study how metal and flesh can become one. Infused with whatever desired element, these engines are symbolic of a new danger where armor becomes one’s soul rather than protecting it.
Cerviel District
a series of tight blocks on Viviana’s side of Aurora-Haven where the Mural of Divine Water rested. Many converters walk this district as it's easy to blend in with the crowd due to its diverse population.
Cerynthal tree
Ornamental white fifty-foot-tall Blossom tree surrounded by an ethereal landscape with a reflective pond. This tree and pond reflect Aeris’s mental health, as its watercolor-style portrayal emits a sense of serenity to Aeris’s psyche.
Child of Consequence (N)
The Ajiogoth’s prophecy created by Viscount Jermaine's title for the child set to be Mira’s seed. A consequence of humanity’s corruption reaching Viviana, ruining the Braided Heart Era.
Chlorovore (N/ Adj)
A maledicari who follows a lifestyle and diet that excludes all forms of human exploitation and cruelty. Chlorovore only consumes and uses animal and plant products. “I’m a Chlorovore,” Noun, personal identity. “I’m Chlorovore,” adjective, highlight belief or trait.
Choir of Thorns (N)
Thornveinian elves' linkage to the Chorus through their Thorned vein. It’s the very foundation of their faith to sing along with their Cleerflora families. As they pray with insects, arachnids, and amphipods.
Choralos (N)
a form of entertainment, offered at bars and clubs, in which people take turns to sing popular songs through lyrics sheets, where lights flare up the lyrics as the song goes along, guiding the singers with the lyrics. Typically, a music box or a live band plays the instrumentals or backing track.
Church of Eternal Light (N)
Vivianites grand cathedral in Aurora-Haven. Functioning as a landmark for major Solocesan celebrations.
Chorus (N)
Foundation of magic, energized by prayers and the overall contribution of faith. An extension of Viviana’s holy magic. It’s job is to ensure magic is used safely and is organized. Without the Chorus, raw magic would become chaotic and dangerous to prevent natural dangers from mortal humans.
Cieloden (N)
Vivianism state of supreme, definitive happiness achieved through perfect, eternal union with Viviana and her nine-gemed angels. It is primarily a state of being, a beatific spiritual realm, rather than a physical location, representing the ultimate fulfillment of human longing.
Cineris-Haven (N)
A sacred sanctuary dedicated to the worship of Cineris, the deity of transformation and renewal. It serves as a place of pilgrimage for those seeking spiritual rebirth and connection with the divine forces of change. One of the nine havens created by Emperor Mann, similar to Aurora-Haven. Expect they primarily use incense to ward off Varnelkin.
Clary sage (N)
A biennial perennial herb in the mint family, prized for its essential oil and distinct aromatic properties. It is widely used for calming, anti-inflammatory, and antispasmodic effects, particularly in managing menstrual cramps, reducing stress, and supporting skin health.
Crankfang (N)
Maledicari slang for crossbow. Seen as unfit for a Maledicari to wield, as it negates physical challenge and is seen as cowardly behavior.
Creeflora (N)
A collective name for the small, uncanny dwellers of earth and water, creatures that crawl, skitter, hum, or slip through the damp cradle of the world. It holds insects, bugs, arachnids, and amphibians beneath the Thorn Vein. Because of the Thornveinian elves' connection to the Thorn vein, they’re able to evoke their shared instinct for shadowed places and delicate transformations between their kind and these species. Each Elf has a family of creeflora that can be spiders or a frog, depending on their blood family. Those devoted to the thorn vein can even connect to multiple species.
Cthaciuggel (N)
A flower-shaped spider that is known for its explosive properties when attacked. When consumed, it mixes with stomach acid, causing an internal explosion that leaves a smoky aftermath. It can also be mixed with Miwrip Stone to enhance its explosive properties.
Darlingshade limb (N)
A gnarled, serrated branch sticky with sap used to summon Vigilark Owls for communication. When crushed, it attracts the Vigilark Owl bound to the user and its desired Darling shade limb. It will then seek out the receiver who also holds the same type of limb. Not all limbs are the same, as not all Vigilark Owls scout for the same smells and flavors of branch.
(Deamonne) Cloud (N)
A cloud is a group of Maledicaries who follow the rules of a set religious official. Deamonne’s cloud includes the bishop, priests, deacon, and the Maledicaries under La Mano Santa’s rule in Aurora-Haven. Deamonne holds council with his subordinates to discuss important matters of the religion and how they should proceed. Every Maledicari needs a mentor. This is the importance of a cloud, as it reminds Maledicaries there not to go rampant as they are a team, not one should chase godhood.
Decoj (N)
An avatar of old Noxvitorian faith, an usher into damnation, supporting those needed to become Maledicaries to accept their new role in life. Guiding vessels into liberation to make maleidcariesm feel less like an infection and more like an inheritance.
Demarcation of Faiths (N)
A religious boundary that separates different religious groups or regions dominated by a specific religion. In place to ensure individuals of each religious group know where they are welcomed and not welcomed. The Demarcation can change over time due to migration, population change, and political change.
Dentigrip (V)
An attack used by Maledicaries to latch their teeth onto another’s neck to drain them of their blood or zakrith them.
Desiccation (N)
Long periods of drought from consuming humanoid blood. If not moisturized, Maledicaries can suffer from hallucinations due to a lack of nutrients, as they need humanoid blood/ DNA.
Desiccate (V)
Remove moisture completely or dry. (e.g., “Not zakirtihing humanoids dessicates your skin.)
Dessicate (adj)
Lacking moisture or water; dry and shriveled.
Divine Ledger (N)
a record-keeping book for tithes used by a church to track member donations, including date, donor name, payment method, and amount. It ensures financial accuracy, transparency for auditing, and helps in generating annual donation statements for parishioners. For followers to show their gratitude for putting Cassigostildo first in life.
Divine Water (N)
Water blessed by Byron, the First Healer. This water is considered sacred through its healing properties, as Viviana was baptized in Divine water during her teenage years. After she was attacked by a village of Maledicaries who tried to take advantage of her godhood. She bathed in divine water ever since to help cure herself of her maledicarism.
Druid (but druidic) (N)
A religion based on a deep, sacred relationship with the Earth, honoring nature and protecting the environment. Druids are magical beings capable of shifting into animals (Mammals and birds primarily). Their role is to ensure nature’s natural order stays intact.
Duskmere Market (N)
A popular outside market full of vendors for various products. On the Noxvitoria side of the Demarcation of Faiths in Aurora-Haven. Various people come to preach here to spread the word on a topic or for profit, like magicians, ventriloquists, etc.
Eclipha (N)
Sun-branded steel sword used by reavers specifically forged against Maledicaries and Varnelkin. On the crossguards, there is a haloguard. These swords are capable of inheriting heat from the sun or through holy-based magical spells from reavers to cut down monsters. When used against humans, reavers can serrate their blades to deal high-slashing damage against opponents.
Eidolon (N)
a holy spirit image of a person or thing. Representing a dreamlike vision of what the physical reality can become. Often used with the Eidolon Mancae, as they are known for transforming ordinary beings into a shape of controlled psychological power.
Eidolon Manca/Eidolon Mancae (plural) (N)
Parasitic juvenile isopods that feed on the brain matter of their victims. Derived from Vossaries babies born in damp, terrestrial environments like decaying wood. These mancae were taken and corrupted by Maledicaries with Sluice-grief. Forcing these peaceful creatures to become aggravated parasites who want to grow immediately, and to do this is to take control of one’s brain. However, to keep this mancae under control, a vessarch is assigned to each batch Eidolon of Mancae to ensure they stay in line.
Eirwell Sanctuary (N)
On Viviana’s side of town lies this sacred place in remembrance of Bryon, the First Healer. In these Onzhava springs, blessed by Divine water, aiding wounds regardless of who entered.
Eldregate (N)
A legendary city, “City of our son,” serving as the majestic, sun-drenched capital of Faloyori. Built by Emperor Mann to consolidate his power, the city has grand architecture and perpetual golden light.
Ember-Petal guard (N)
an Umbrella term used for Emperor Mann’s royal guard inside of Eldregate. These royal soldiers serve in Mann’s name and serve as an extension of himself, as a leader.
Emberrest (N)
Fifth day of the seven-day week. Also, used a day of service at church.
Evangelism Project (N)
a structured, intentional effort to convey the Noxvitorian gospel with others with a specific goal, timeline, or target audience across Aurora-Haven. The goal was to own the deed for the Mural of Divine water to spread Noxvitoria across the Demarcation of Faiths, in an attempt to force Vivianism back into the open world.
Evolesseon (N)
Exalted state of metaphysical fusion between Maledicaries and Noxvitorians, wherein separate crimson threads become a singular, rhythmic loop of consciousness. Within this hollowed sanctuary, thirst is quenched by perpetual communion of spirits. Binding souls in an everlasting, crimson embrace that defies both gravity and rot. A paradise where predators no longer need to hunt and can simply exist intertwined in the mountains to devotion, where they socialize with their past loved ones, while providing enough faith to those still standing.
Cieloden (N)
Followers of Vivianism, heaven is defined as the Great Convergence of Cinder, a perpetual state of Golden Radiance where the sun is eternal. It is a transcendent realm by the reach of the encroaching abyss of Evolesseon, where the soul’s inner speech is magnified into a blinding, heat-giving light. An incandescent of sun, the nine-gemed angels, and Viviana form sought all their lives, finally becoming a physical reality, allowing the righteous to exist as static, undying icons of the sun’s power. Those who achieve this state are finally purged of their humanity for a permanent communion with the divine source of life and warmth.

Faloyori (the continent of the setting) (N)
Continent and central setting for Tear the Veil. It’s a sprawling dark-fantasy landscape defined by a dense tapestry of diverse city-states, ancient ruins, and untamed wilderness where magic is a fundamental force of nature. As a crossroads for countless races, including elves, dwarves, humans, druids, berrutids, Vudolines, dwarves, and Maledicaries.
Flesh-binders (but Flesh-binder when used in direct address) (N)
A slur used by humans to discriminate against Maledicari for their abilities to steal and twist DNA from others.
Fort Noble (N)
Fortress of Emperor Mann, where legends are supposedly made from most fairy tales.
Friendship Gate (N)
Towering, ornate arch of blackened stone and lacquered bone that marks the official entrance to Aurora-Haven’s Noxvitorian Duskmere market district. Eschewing traditional colors for deep crimson and obsidian, the gate is etched with protective runes designed to ward off the burning intrusion of the sun. It serves as a symbolic sanctuary, where the diverse bloodlines of the night from the regal Vivianites.

Famous high-end Istravani fashion brand.
Genemalused (V)
Process of turning someone, something, or a creature into a Sarithid through an Eidolon mancae parasite.
Gloaming Coil (N)
Undercover Torture chamber used to extract information from victims. On the outside, it’s a place where Noxvitorians show a bit of skin for velms.
Gohiko (N)
A race of humanoids who ride on the breath of the wind itself, able to dissolve into mist, transporting themselves. Rare form of humanoids, Maledicaries seek them out to steal their mist abilities.

Verdant Vow employee identification.
Haloguard (N)
A protective enchantment or barrier used to shield against magical threats. A sun-shaped crossguard on Reavers Elipha swords used to protect the wielder’s hands from enemy strikes and prevent their own hand from sliding onto the blade during combat. It’s decorated to show their faith in the sun.
Heliorum Hart (N)
A caravan pulled by Heliorum Harts. Harts are deer-like creatures bred by Vivianites to follow transport goods and people discreetly across the land. There known for blending into the background, as they are typically adorned with Eastward protective sigils.
Hemmogoth (N)
Tea of pure darkness, often consumed by Maledicaries due to its healing properties. Used also used to cure Maledicaries from Lunaris Thorn poison. Taste of berry, spicy, cinnamon, and clove, often featuring a crimson color if not black.
Hemospiration (N) Hemospiratize (V)
a daily treatment of filtering Umbral Congestion from one’s body. If this necrotic byproduct is not filtered through Hemospriation, the patient's blood will begin to thicken into an oily ichor that radiates a freezing chill. Leading into Cognitive eclipse, where the void begins to perceive color and warmth, replaced by existential dread. With time, the darkness will reach the heart and extinguish the victim’s eternal darkness, turning them into a mindless conduit for the abyss.
Hiuhlun (N)
Vast and storied continent defined by its tiered mountain ranges, winding coastal republics, and a “Gilded Renaissance” culture that serves as the world’s center of high art and diplomacy. It is a fragment of rival merchant states and grand duchies where social standing is displayed through elaborate masked festivals and architectural opulence. The continent is famous for its vertical cities built into sun-bleached cliffs, where the elite created intricate mosaics to signify their lineage and protect their reputation from social decay. Within this sophisticated domain, culture is bright as ever.
Hollow Choir (N)
Noxvitoria’s side of the chorus, a fundamental piece of their magical system. It feeds off not just singing and fried screaming/ prayer. Furthermore, it gains energy from Zakriths and Genemalus conversions. The Hollow chorus, a darker side of this source of magic, to bypass Viviana’s authority.
Hollow Glenn (N)
A dungeon where Maledicaries forcibly hold prospects to become Maledicaries or Sarithids. Often, a selection site for Vessarch to select which persons will become Sarithids. As the Decoj will decide to take care of those who’ll become Maledicaries. These cages are cold and hide in ever-shaping mazes.
Hollow Hunger (N)
A sinful act for maledicaries for not feasting on humanoids, failing to use their abilities to steal the DNA to hopefully reach Sangraelithism. Also, it can be an effect of dissection, as Maledicaries need humanoid blood to properly function. A Chrolovore diet can only last so long.
Hollow-spires (N)
Tall, slender pyramidal structures topping roofs, as they symbolize protection from Varnelkin through Sun-veil ink, which protrudes through their tips. Serve as common protection for creating the dome of a Haven, establishing hardened stations for specific locations.
Hollowmere Row (N)
A street full of various shops and boutiques on Noxvitoria’s side of Aurora-Haven.
Hushgift (V)
Act of Noxvitoria faith where one holds out four fingers over their lips, then lowers them to their heart. It signifies blessing a fellow Maledicari, as they bless their crimson threads and hearts to one another.
Hyrhion (N)
A hippo-bodied animal with rhino skin. Naturalized in rivers, known for their aggressive and destructive nature when aggravated. A deadly humongous mammal with sharp tusks and horns, a naturally territorial creature. Druids can transform into Hyrhion if they can coexist with such a beast.
Interloper (N)
desperate scavenger or displaced soul who covertly inhabits an abandoned\ estate. Unlike a lawful resident, this person is living for free, leeching off the rightful owner. To the ruling elites, they are considered a disease due to their stubborn entitlement to living for free while taking from those who rightfully work for their share of the land.
Ithilnara (N) |EE-thil-NAH-ruh|
Centerpiece of culinary ritual where a roiling spiced decoction of herbs and peppers simmers within a heavy iron basin. Participants gather at this bubbling pot to share a feast over soup. TO share from the cauldron is a sacred pact of the table, turning a simple meal into a bonding moment. For Chlorovores, this is excellent as the Ithilnara keeps most of the nutrients from the meat and vegetables from this soup. For Vivianites, the same follows, but is primarily used for celebratory events.
Istravani (N)
A proud and dramatic ethnic group inhabiting the sunny peninsula of Istranza attached to Hiuhlun, known for their vertical marble cities and an obsession with ancestral legacy. Prioritizing absolute blood-loyalty and the creation of elaborate energizing art to honor life and water. To safeguard their identity against loss of culture, they use festivals to keep staleness at bay. Within their society, good food, romantic love, and family are key to a healthy life.

A peninsula country connected to Hiuhlun. Home to the Istravani
Izmo Tower (N)
Tower owned by Laziel near Kuronami crossing.
Jori’s tithe (N)
A mandatory tax or material surrendered to the high cathedral to ensure the continued maintenance of the haven’s cathedral and faith’s assets. Each lunar cycle, the faithful must offer their earned goods into the gilded maw of the counting-house. To withhold this tribute is to be deemed a traitor, a crime that results in the revocation of one’s right to dwell in the holy light or darkness. This tithe ensures that the clergy remains bloated with opulence while the common man suffers. This is also to fuel the runes of sun-veil ink to keep the Hollow-Spires and Valomsity Towers powered.
Judicature of the Argent Quill (N)
Serves as the final arbiter of law for Faloyori. It interprets the Solar Code- a body of divine and civil law derived from the edicts of Viviana herself. This Court presides over cases that affect the entire continent- branches of divine law, interspecies disputes, matters of allegiance, crimes against faith/ humanity, or questions of sovereignty.
Junior Thornvein Kinichi Exhibition (N)
JTKE is an after-school program where children and teens get together to act as Kinichi elves. They practice role-playing as Kinichi and even Kinich (Wrestle) one another to promote physical and social health.
Khavoset (N)
State of eternal punishment and damnation into which a sinful and impenitent person passes after death. This is a physical realm where the unfaithful reside after betraying or failing to fulfill their lives under faith.
Kingdom of Mann (N)
In Eldregate, the Kingdom of Mann is the wealthiest and most influential grand principality within the Mann’s Empire. Serving as Faloyori’s political and spiritual heartland. As the ancestral home of the founding-God Viviana and the seat of Mann, it holds unrivaled authority over the imperial province geographically. It is defined by the vital river and the capital city of Eldregate, a sprawling metropolis that houses the college of magic and the great cathedral of Viviana. Its armies are famously well-equipped, with their iconic red and white uniforms, the Amateri knights, and Ember Petal guards.
Kintsugi (N)
Art style of repairing broken pieces of a grand project/ person with gold rather than simple metal. Considered a golden joinery is to give Gold-filled love. This also translates to tattoos, as Noxvitorian tattoos and other faiths can be repaired if they allow some ‘sun’ into their lives/ bodies.
Konungagandr (N)
A colossal earth serpent that dwelled into Faloyori. He served as a connection between Faloyori and other continents. Feared by many, defeated by Leonidas, as Konungagandr planned on causing constant earthquakes in Faloyori due to his loneliness as the last earth serpent. An animal’s life goal was to repopulate; if there wasn’t a mate, then it was meant to breed death.
Kthirrath (N)
Northeastern Faloyori lays these grand canyons where no star shines, as the extreme climate far exceeds humanoid living temperature. The dangers of dehydration, sheer drops, and flash floods made this canyon plentiful for art, but not for visitors. Only inhabited only by wildlife, fire, and rock spirits. There are no stars in this area despite zero light pollution; no one really knows why this is the case. Some say it is due to a lack of faith, others say there is something bigger at play.
Kuronami Crossing (N)
Vast, rhythmic convergence of stone and glass where Aurora-Haven’s myriad ley lines intersect in a populated area of commerce and foot traffic.
La Mano Santa (N)
Grand Noxvitorian Cathedral in Aurora-Haven ruled by Archbishop Deamonne.
Lacrimire (N)
Forged by Byron, Lacrimire is said to be distilled from the first compassionate acts of humanity itself. Legends claim that Byron, witnessing the suffering of his kin, captured the essence of mercy and distilled it into liquid form. When applied to a humanoid’s wound, Lacrimire accelerates healing. Combinable with healing water in onzhava to increase its potency. The liquid reacts to the life force of the recipient, glowing softly upon contact with the skin. Not usable on undead, spirits, and Varnelkin.
Lamethall (N)
A puppet theater controlled by a Speculari, a messenger of the media outlet, to broadcast important events. Puppets lay asleep until a magician summons their strings across the city to start controlling each puppet. Depending on the owner of the Lamethall, these puppets can be used to play music.
Lilium flowers (N)
White flowers resembling purity to the Vivianite eye. However, to Noxvitorians, they are seen as lying flowers that pollute the land.
Ljótrheim Forest (N)
Forest of the origin of druids, where Thalanweiner thrives.
Lujantras (N)

On the southeastern district of Aurora-Haven, an alley known for hosting the Board of the Lost. A restful alley where those ashamed of losing their loved one can rest knowing they can make their loved one known to the public of their situation.

Volatile clay vessel with unstable alchemical grains that ignite upon forceful impact. When shattered, the contained energy detonates a concussive blast, capable of shredding armor or damaging buildings. It is favorable for its rapid escalation of damage.
Mlotie (N)
A social game where participants gather to mark ancient runes upon parchment as a blind oracle calls out symbols of fate drawn from a mini-iron spinning cage. Participants must want for each rune to appear, hoping that the alignment of the stares on their slate will grant them victory before their peers. Once the pattern is complete, the victor must cry out Mlotie, so the oracle can evaluate their slate.

To protect their Wilds, the Elves protect the Ossavine Wilds with guardians who react to outsiders’ aura to either lead them back out or neutralize the threat. To ensure their trade lines are open to the world, on the very edge of the Ossavine Wilds, lies the Kinichi colosseum, where they sell the entertainment value to other species. This area is also used to trade other valuables with species, as it's heavily guarded.

Quick to pick up on languages, as they know that speech is an easy way to lure humanoids in. Furthermore, they are incredibly manipulative, as they mix disease and putrid meats into wonderful sets of food. Their favorite type of food to allure others with is baked goods.

Viscount Jermaine prophesied that a set of twins would emerge, Mira’s reincarnation and the Rabid Bat. Everyone wants to be revered as a god; they just have to survive and feed long enough to reach this state. Only rumors that anyone has reached this phase of evolution, as most die before they reach this state. As Emperor Mann has a system to notify and prevent any Maledicari from completing their evolution through solitary confinement or death.

Children are meant to read this book at a young age to get them familiar with spells and curses related to the Shadow Chorus. It provides lore on the religion, all while serving as a weapon. Tendriled wolf, famous for its freedom and refusal to bow even in captivity. Smart and adaptable predators who seem to know too much for their animal brains. Their flesh is tendrils covered in fur, and they are about twenty feet long and sixteen inches wide.

Esstatic orators who dedicate their lungs to preach about Viviana. They preach against the darkness (Noxvitoria) by welcoming anyone and anybody to their sun-drenched tables, urging the populace to bathe in light, until their very skin glows with the goddess’s borrowed heat. To these preachers, every shadow is an affront to her divinity, and even to the point of attempting to lure the pale-skins to tan in the sun. Their end goal is to bathe in the never-ending sun of Viviana with as many of those they converted along the way.

When connected to the Thorn Vein, elves can come in contact with it, seeing it as their God when seeking guidance. As they believe that without it, they would perish. Veil of Transfiguration (N)

Within these fonts of Resolute rebirth, the veil subjects the flesh to a holy light of mutagenic salts, a process to burn away the spirit’s impurities through a singular, concentrated baptism of torment. To survive the immersion is to be ‘anointed by light.” Rising from the depths no longer as an ordinary man, but as a sanctified vessel by order of the Reavers. In the rare case that a Maledicari attempts this ritual, there’s a high possibility they’ll die. If they do survive, their supernatural abilities will increase and become more resilient to Viviana’s side of Chorus magic.

Verdant Vow Realty (N)
Tierra company run by Laziel Thornhart. A cabal of legalistic vultures who trade in the deeds of hollowed estates. Specializing in the appraisal of architecture haunted or on the verge of becoming haunted, bartering living souls to dwell in lesser valued properties, this firm ensures profits flow regardless of tenants' expenses.

A curse that turns their victim's skin into withering black bark. Can be healed and stopped if the caster loses concentration mid-spell.

Noxvitorian who controls Eidolon Mance and the Sarithids they’ll become. They have better speech abilities with Vossaries.
Vessel of Absence (N)
Mira’s vessel has been unseen for so long that Noxvitorians started to lose faith. This is a phrase used to show stress that she’ll never return.
Vigilark (N)
An animal that delivers messages on behalf of a specific Darlingshade Limb. These animals travel to deliver pre-made messages, and special types can deliver real-time messages through their eyes or by projecting, depending on their equipment.

A spell that summons strong roots upon one’s feet to ensnare them momentarily.

A forest reavers use as a safe area, away from populated areas, to keep prisoners, discuss confidential matters, and practice their skills.
Virelana clubs (N)
Social clubs where music is played. In havens, they also help to keep Varnelkin away due to the music’s frequency, hurting Varnelkin's brain.
Virid Anodyne (N)
Vial used to contain Aurelian Serum. This vial is special because it allows the liquids inside to transfer into their target through inhalation and physical touch, instead of having to drink from the vial.

A spell where one cuts themselves using blood magic combined with frost magic to turn their blood into a weapon.
Voidwater (N)
a Dark purple water where most can not see under. It’s known for having a static smell and being difficult to swim in due to its lack of gravity.
Vossari (N)
A chitinous humanoid creature from under the ocean capable of altering the minds of humanoids. They can take mind-control, damage, and disorient one’s mind. They are under the control of a hive-mind and must eat brains to fasten their recovery for their psychic abilities. Naturally, they recover the abilities with fish and water, but in a dire situation, there is only one outlet. These creatures are highly sought out for their unique abilities and unusual alien identity in a world not ready for their advancements to society.

Opal stone dagger blade infused with Lunaris Thorns and sunlight. Useful for sneaking on Maledicariesm, taking advantage of their weak points, and hitting critical spots in their armor.
Weir-stone (N)
Stone used to aid with Hemospiration. This stone is used to remove Umbral Congestion from one’s soul. Without the Weir-stone, the darkness would just return to its victim. The Weir-stone needs to be administered every day to maintain one’s soul from being corrupted.

Ugly birds with the face of rats, known for their idiotic behavior. They act in groups, trying their best to survive, one of the longest-living species of birds. Since they act so stupidly, people use their names as a derogatory form of slang to call each other idiots. (Adj) – You Wtuvot, how’d you miss the trash? It was right beside you.
Wyvern (N)
Winged avian reptile with two legs instead of four legs. They are smaller, more aggressive, and less intelligent than dragons. They are more likely to appear in villages than in cities due to their size.

Sigil of protection, increasing defense on its target. Reduce target scent and sway attention from aggressors, while slowly healing their wounds.

Exotic baby lamb meat.
Ykovra (N)
Chimeric blasphemous fusion of disparate anatomies stitched together through flesh-weaving and necromantic bindings. These patchwork sentinels possess the predatory instincts of beasts and the haunting, expressive eyes of men, trapped in a frenzy as their mismatched organs compete for dominance with other varnelkin.
Zakrith (V)
Action of a maledicari using crimson threads to dig into another’s neck to steal their DNA. All the while, draining their victim’s life force to nurture their own needs. Aftemath, leaves their victims to decay slowly, as the Maledicaries walk way more powerful then before.
Zasian (N)
A maledicari that had zakirithed many, starting to show signs of evolution. They are stronger, smarter, and faster than Maledicaries. Not all Maledicaries are Zasian, but all Zasian are still Maledicaries. They are seen at a higher standing than Maledicaries, as they are living proof of becoming Sangraeliths.

Someone who uses Eidolon Mancae to infect others. That can be a host or a carrier.
Ziricote (N)
High-end hardwood used in flooring, cabinets, and furniture, known for its ‘spider-webbing’ dark brown grain. It’s durable and stable with a high-gloss finish, admired by those of high standing in society.
Zorqual Seal (N)
Seal used to maintain peace and calm during a zakirtih ceremony. These seals create a magical door of sinew to prevent outsiders from interfering with the process.
